Ok, this will guide you how to do materia fusion to get buffs like +999% HP

You will need also an Item fusion tome (item fusion) that you will get in mission 7-2-1 as a reward

Note:

Many people dont understand that 7-2-1, here's an example:

Mission-> 7 (Seeking Priceless Items)->2 (Precious Things->1 (Seek and Destroy)..

Note: this will be available at Chapter 5 (when you meet aeris/aerith)..

I.HP modifier[01]

To those starting at the game, that have small money, you can try this...

Requirements:
Potions and Hp Ups

Potion=buy from shop
Hp Up+= Steal or Mug from Vajradhara Indra in mission 4-4-1 (Easy Mission) (if you're having hard time dealing with this monster, try the second option)

Steal Materia Location
Mission 7-4-1 (Treasure Chest)
Mission 8-3-6 (Treasure Chest)

Note: The mission difficulty depends on Zack's Level..

Note: The picture below is a monster that can be fight at normal encounter (not a mission boss), so you can fight it all over again without completing the mission (hassle free)

Option 2:
Mission 4-2-5 (Very Easy Mission) (thanks to yuimishima for the tip)...

If you collected the needed requirements, proceed to materia fusion

First we combine the 2 Hp Up+ that we stole and Potion(80) like this...

Ok, combine again a 2 Hp Up+ and Potion(80), so the result will be 2 Hp Up+ with +70% each..

Then we will combine those 2 like this

After that, create again a HP up+ with 70%, then do this

Then repeat the process again, to increase the percent of the Hp Materia..

Now for those who like to link them to magic like curaga, combine Hp UP materia + curaga materia

Example Hp+999% + Curaga= Curaga+999%

II.Costly Punch Materia[02]

Now if you have HP+999%, then we proceed to the 99999 damage modifier

Requirements:
Adaman Bangle(Mission chest or reward) or Genji Armor(100% DMW) or Divine Slayer (Defeating Minerva)= Accessories that breaks HP limit
Brutal(Mission Chest or Reward, Genji Glove(Mission Chest) and Divine Slayer= Accessories that break damage Limit
Costly Punch

How to get costly punch:

Combine any punch materia + any dmw materia (like Megaflare dmw materia or Octaslash materia)..

Mission 1-5-4 (Treasure Chest)
Mission 4-5-6 (Reward)
Mission 5-4-2 (Reward)
Mission 6-5-5 (Treasure Chest)
Mission 7-5-5 (Treasure Chest)
Mission 9-3-4 (Reward)

Iron Fist Materia
Mission 3-5-2 (Treasure Chest)
Mission 5-3-3 (Reward)
Mission 7-5-1 (Treasure Chest)

When finish, this will be the result..

Costly punch damage is based on your maximum hp and it ignores enemy vit, but it causes 0 damage when:

Example is the picture above

Zack has 55,836(max HP) but the HP break is 93,200 that causes costly punch damage to 0

You must have the exact HP or lower to dish out the 99999 damage...

When your HP breaks (because of that dmw reel), unequip your HP modifier then equip it again, then heal hehe...

III.SP Gathering[03]

Now that you have costly punch..

We need to gather a huge amount of SP to do Materia Fusion (if you want +999% HP modifier)

This is the monster that give huge amount of SP, it is located in mission 8-6-1, 2-3-3, 6-4-1, its called RE Movers

If you want money gathering while getting SP, equip this

then this is what you get...

a 4000 SP & a Gold Armlet

So while you gathering SP, you also have Gold Armlet that you can sell for 3000G

IV.Stat Modifier & Tricks[04]

This trick will raise your stats up to 100 per materia depending on what stat you want to increase..

Ok, lets start..

Requirements for farming
Hp+999% materia= for huge amount of HP
Costly materia= deal 99999 damage depending on hp/damage limit
Adaman Bangle or Genji Armor= Accessories that breaks HP limit
Brutal or Genji Glove= Accessories that break damage Limit
Mog's Amulet= Item dropped or stolen is always rare

All of these requirements is a must because we will fight a mission boss to do farming...

The boss can be found in mission 9-3-4

This is the Location in the Map

And this what you get for defeating it

2 adamantite (you will need 99), this enemy has a huge HP, I counted the number I used the costly punch and this is the result..

7 costly punch usage= meaning 99999 X 7= 699993 damage, this is the damage you must inflict to defeat it so that's why you'll need those requirements..

This enemy has a special attack that causes 45k damage, so if your HP is above that and have costly materia no need to worry, it will be dead before it uses his special attack.. ^__^

Now, we'll proceed to Materia Fusion that modify stats..

Here I will give you example when we combine Magical Punch(MP+50%) + Zantezuken(Vit+1) =Costly Punch(MP+50%)

Note:

You can Fuse the Materia that you want, that is an example ok???

The idea here is we can change the stat that we want by using this items...

Hero Drink=Use in materia fusion for ATK+1
Adamantite=Use in materia fusion for VIT+1
Dark Matter=Use in materia fusion for MAG+1
Mythril=Use in materia fusion for SPR+1
Gysahl Greens=Use in materia fusion for LUK+1

Note: This items are obtainable in mission...

Ok, now I Will fuse the same materia BUT with one of the items I gathered...

See the difference??, well you must have a huge amount of SP to fuse that..

Now I have already that materia (because that is only an example)

Here it is

You will see that it doesnt change the stat, so here is the trick to change that to the one you'll like..

Summary:
1.Gathered Adamantite(99)
2.Combine materia that you like then combine the adamantite
3.Change it to what stat you want by using the item above

Note:This will need a lot of Patience and Time, I only do this because I want to defeat Minerva (The Strongest Boss in the Game)

Genji Shield

Use the following spells on the Magic Pot (Encounter Monster ONLY) in Mission
7-6-6: Gil Toss, Costly Punch, 99999 Damage, Octaslash (Pray that the DMW reels at Sephiroth, it takes luck to do that, got it in first attempt without using Sephiroth DMW Materia)

Note:
If you dont have Magic Pot (DMW), you will get the Magic Pot (DMW), then try again you will get the Genji Shield for the 2nd time...

Safety Bit-Nulls instant death (useful in some mission if you don't have genji shield or super ribbon)

Can be also steal in Great Malboro in 9-6-2

Ziedrich- Adds +100 Stats (Pretty useful for defeating Minerva)

Note: You must talk to the Shinra Manager and Secretary in the Shinra Main Hall in Chapter 6 to unlock this mission

VIII. Mission Tips[08]

1. Always do wall hugging to avoid encounters, very useful because you only need the items in the treasure chest and the reward in mission..

2. Equip a element absorbing accessories, this is very useful to me because it always heal me,try to learn what the monster cast in the mission that you are doing... Remember that the only element that can be absorb are Fire , Thunder and Blizzard (can also absorb higher version like firaga etc).... Recommended is Blaze Armlet (Absorb Fire Element) why?, because Blizzard and Thunder is very easy to dodge.. or you can always equip Wizard Bracelet (absorbs Fire, Blizzard and Thunder Element)

3.Got enemy encounter???, you can always run in battlefied by using Dash materia (much easy because Zack run faster), just press triangle and go outside the field of encounter.... Recomended in very hard missions...

4.Always rotate the camera when starting a mission, some mission has treasure chest behind where Zack stands...

5.Always pray that the DMW reels to Modulating Phase biglaugh

Note: This is based on experience while playing the game, Im only sharing it...
